Description
From our estate and antique collection, this is a Victorian-style oval-shaped mourning locket pendant in 18K yellow gold. It features an ornate back and front hand-engraved border, with a detailed inscription on the front, “To Caleb Cox Esq, Collector of H.M. Customs, From Outdoor Officers of H.M. Customs, Port of Wick, 1869.” The inside features an ornate hairwork design of a cross within a wreath surround, and a portrait photograph.
